Sunrise offerings
Set off early in the morning for the town of Kuraburi to take part in the monks’ morning round of offerings. A unique experience under the spellbinding colors of the sunrise.
Breakfast with local flavours
Stop off at the town’s 100% local market, where you can enjoy a typical breakfast of “patongko”, small sweet doughnuts, or for the more adventurous, rice soup, the traditional breakfast of the locals. Stroll the aisles of this traditional market and discover the local flavours.
Blessings in an intimate atmosphere
Afterwards, head to the temple of the monks you met at the morning offerings for a true-to-life experience. You’ll receive a blessing in exchange for offerings. As you visit the monastery, your guide will explain the monks’ way of life and the importance of Buddhism in Thailand and Southeast Asia in general. A wealth of information on a fascinating philosophy.
Traditional Thai boats
Finally, take a boat trip through the mangroves to a boat factory ordered by the king himself after the tsunami. A place steeped in history, where you can discover traditional Thai craftsmanship. To round off this memorable day, join a local family for a traditional meal.

Is it possible to be blessed by a Buddhist monk?
Yes, during your visit to the monastery, your guide will explain how the blessing takes place and provide you with the offerings to give to the monk during this ritual.
What time are we back at the hotel?
Departure is very early (between 5 and 6 a.m.), so you’re usually back at your hotel by 3 p.m.
How do I dress for the day?
For men: pants or Bermuda shorts below the knee and a top covering the shoulders. For women: pants or skirt below the knee and top covering the shoulders (no cleavage). Open-toed shoes for easy removal at temple entrances.
